  2. Appearance • Snowy owls have white feathers. • On Barn owls faces is heart shaped with spots. • Longed-eared owls have brownish/blackish faces with spots.

  3. Young • Baby Owls are called ‘owlets’. • Barn owlets are left with there dad and there moms gets the food • A mom Owls lay up to 1-12 eggs. Each owlet hatches a week.

  4. Habitat • Barn Owls are the most widespread owls ,they live on every continent just not on Antarctica • Some Snowy Owls live in the Far North ,Arctic tundra • Longed-eared Owls live in the Tropics

  5. Diet • Big Owls eat squirrels ,rabbits or young deer • Small Owls eat snakes , rodents ,birds or insect • Owls swallow food/prey whole

  6. WOW Facts • Did you know… The longed-eared Owls can rotate there necks to 270 degrees! • Did you know… A migrating short-ear Owl can fly 2,000! • 200 Owls live in the world not Antartica
