Updates on Title III: Air Quality Evaluation and MACT Standards Under the CAAA

This report details the updates to Title III of the Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA), focusing on the evaluation of air quality and Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standards. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) establishes standards for major sources of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) to address risks and promote technology reviews. The document outlines the incorporation of the Risk and Technology Reviews (RTR) and regulations affecting 37 source categories, aiming to review and improve standards to mitigate residual risks associated with various production processes.
