TEACHERS These websites will “buoy” your lesson planning -- lots of information and plans for teachers and activities for students Baltimore’s National Aquarium – animals and exhibits that we’ll see Virginia Institute of Marine Science – lots of elementary lesson plans A “Sea” of Great Ideas – a nice assortment of teacher tools, created by a teacher Treasures @ Sea – from Franklin Institute, a great assortment of activity ideas KiddyHouse.com – literature-based lesson plans and resources using Leo Lionni’s Swimmy Shedd Aquarium – a LOT of lesson plans, interactives, fact sheets, etc. Kathy Schrock’s Guide to Oceanography Sites Under the Sea – a site that kids can use, with activity ideas for teachers as well (note: if a page appears to be plain white, click and drag across the page – text will appear) Monterey Bay Aquarium– especially interesting: live webcams and “About the Animals” Kids, keep following me!
