Rainforest Animals. Produced by 3B 2010. Spider Monkey By Jordan Hatcher. At night these groups split up into a half dozen or fewer groups. They can be noisy animals and often with many calls. Spider monkeys are known as Trapeze artists because they spend so much of their time swinging.

  2. Spider MonkeyBy Jordan Hatcher • At night these groups split up into a half dozen or fewer groups. • They can be noisy animals and often with many calls. • Spider monkeys are known as Trapeze artists because they spend so much of their time swinging.

  3. Red Eyed Tree Frogby John O’Donnell • They like to wrestle with one another. • Young ones are usually brown and turn green as they get older. • Adults can change color depending on their mood and/or surroundings.

  4. Assassin Bugby Emmett Moffitt • Assassin bugs stab their prey with their proboscis. • If there is not enough food for an assassin bug they eat each other. • The assassin bug sucks up other bugs’ tissues.

  5. Aye AyeBy Colleen Hasterlo • Aye Ayes live up to about 23 years old. • The aye aye is nocturnal ( active at night). • It has razor sharp teeth to tear off sections of tree bark.

  6. Vine SnakeBy Ben Baltimore • The vine snake is the skinniest snake in the world. • If they are afraid of an animal they will look like a swinging branch moving back and forth. • If threatened it puffs up the front of its body revealing coloration usually hidden under its scales.

  7. Chubby FrogBy Delaney Foley • Chubby frogs have an upper jaw only. • If you hold a chubby too long you’ll get a glue like slime on your hands! • The male chubby frog has a darker throat than the female frog.

  8. CoatiBy Josie Reed • If they are provoked in danger they scratch and use their canine teeth and strong jaws. • They dig into rocks and logs with their long nose for food. • They live up to 14 years of age.

  9. Indian CobraBy Luke Dickas • It is one of the most venomous snakes in the world. • It is also called speckled cobra. • It spits venom into its prey’s eyes.
