Introduction : Aim of the collection and publication of BP • Provide information on financial statements of banks. • Coverage : Institutions conducting banking business. • Definitions : Based on national criteria. • Improve the usefulness by enlarging the BP database with new information and indicators.

  3. BP Publication • Composition of the publication : • Tables on financial statements of banks. • Structure of the financial system. • Classification of bank assets and liabilities • Methodological Country Notes are presented in a separate publication.

  4. Progress Report • 2004 Edition will be released within one month. • New database platform: Statworks. • New production processes. • Forthcoming edition : New questionnaire.
