BP Turkey Upstream Operations • The BTC pipeline has been operating since July 2006. • Construction by BOTAŞ, Operation by BIL. • Capacity was 1 million bbl/day, expanded to 1,2 million • Reached major milestone of 1 BILLION BBL on September 12, 2010 • 1586 vessels loaded at Ceyhan Marine Terminal since line opened in 2006, 1,220 billion bbl loaded • %100 efficiency reached in 2009 • July 21, 2010: BTC achieved its highest daily throughput (to date) 1.057million bbl • Current flow rate ~800,000 bbl/day • Over half of the length and facilities of the BTC, and much of the complexity is within Turkish territory. • Turkey has been receiving Shah Deniz gas through the SCP (South Caucasus) pipeline since July 2007, at the maximum rate of 6.6 million cubic metres/day. • In 2005, BP explored for oil in the Eastern Black Sea region of Turkey, drilling the deepest well ever drilled in the Black Sea.

  4. BP Turkey Downstream Investments • Anglo-Persian (BP’s predecessor) opened an office in Istanbul in 1912. BP’s downstream businesses in Turkey date back to the 1940’s • Very large Fuels Value Chain business, with turnover of around $4.5 bn. 600+ petrol stations; %9.7 market share – 4th in market with 132,826 ton general sales. Turkey fuels market growth: %6 CAGR in 2003-2008. • BP Gas: LPG (bottle) and Auto LPG presence, %6 and %7 market share in a rapidly growing market • Air BP services at 4 major airports through JV (Mobil, Shell, THY-Opet) • ATAS, Turkey’s 1st private refinery, (%68 owned by BP) now transitioned to fuels terminal, making it the largest fuels terminal in the East Med • Lubricants: Castrol very well known brand with leading market share (%30 in Automotive) • High-tech, modern lubricants plant in Gemlik – also export lubes to Azerbaijan, Georgia • Other businesses include BP Marine Fuels, BP Shipping
