EASC Activity Summary • Current working groups: • 1680.2 Standard for the Environmental Assessment of Imaging Equipment • 1680.3 Standard for the Environmental Assessment of Televisions • Average Working Group size: 100 (400 total participation in both working groups and all subgroups) • Number of PARs approved YTD: 4 (we didn’t approve all these this year). • Number of Stds sent to ballot: 2 on May 2011 • Number of Stds approved for publication: Hoping for 2 by End of Year
Highlights of this Reporting Period • Sent 1680.2 and 1680.3 out for balloting • With a widely diverse group of stakeholders and great contention over environmental requirements, getting the required 75% approval to go to ballot was a major feat. • Completed improvements of our management structure and processes • Completed improved Sponsor and Working Group P and Ps • Completed intensive stakeholder review of our standards development process to address concerns about length of process and process rules • Reviewed processes used by other SDOs • Revised EASC membership and added two new members
