  3. Open to any 5th-9th grade student • 9th grade has option to go with Sr. Level • Dues • National $4 • Arkansas $2 • Pay Dues and Enter Membership by February 15 (or October 20 for Outstanding Chapter Award) **The State Handbook is being updated and will be posted on the Arkansas FBLA website.

  4. Officer Elections/Training • Changed Officer Elections to the Spring • Held first ever Officer Training Session

  5. Competitive Event Changes for District Events • A chapter may enter up to 3 members per objective event. (Test only) • A chapter may only enter 1 member for performance events and production events. • A member may enter up to two events. But cannot compete in more than one performance events. • No longer have a sweepstakes competition. **For National/State events, a chapter may only enter one member.

  6. Competitive Event Changes All Chapter Projects, Recognition Events, Computer Slideshow, Webpage Creation, etc. will now be uploaded via Dropbox. Specific instructions will be included in your Spring Conference Packet.

  7. The Strive For 5 Campaign • Each local chapter increase membership by 5 members • Entered by February 15 • Earn recognition at the District Spring Leadership Conference

  8. Goal is for every district to grant a wishRaise money and submit on behalf of your school and your district

  9. Please Encourage Middle Level Achievement Program Entrepreneur Business Enterprise

  10. National Fall Leadership Conference • November 21-22 • Good representation from Arkansas • Intent that every district officer will attend • Travel as a state on charter bus • Approximate cost $350 per person for lodging, transportation, and aquarium group activity • Bus will be reserved for district officers first, then open to general membership
