Location • L’Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille is located in Villeneuve d’Ascq, France, a suburb of metropolitan Lille • Located in northeastern France, close to the Belgian border • Villeneuve d’Ascq has a population of 60,000 and attracts more than 50,000 students • Directly linked by VAL metro to Lille

Cost • As part of a direct exchange, tuition and fees are paid directly to your home university (talk to home institution for fees) Estimated costs per month: • Housing: 205 € (residence halls) to 550 € (private accommodations) • Meals: 3 € per meal • Books: 100 € per semester • Transportation: 48 €

Dates Academic Calendar: Introduction and orientation days for exchange students • Introduction day : 8 September Courses of French language: from 5 to 9 September (French test - oral and written : 2 September). • Start of Academic Year: 12 September • Semester I: from 12 September to 16 December • Semester II: from 16 January to 31 May - Christmas Holiday: from 19 December to 3 January - Winter Holiday: from 27 February to 2 March - Spring Holiday: from 23 to 27 April
