Wisznice Community is a place of a rich tradition and history.

The first allusion about Wisznice has appeared in the beginning of XV century; Wisznice became a regional trade-cultural centre because several trade routes crossed there.

Nowadays, Wisznice Community area embraces the surface of 173 sq kilometres, where agricultural usage takes 11 235 hectares. The population is nearly 5 500 people.

slide4

Wisznice Community has a typical agricultural character. Orchards and vegetable gardens, noticeably ecological, dominate the cultivation. The main cultivations are tomatoes, pepper, cucumbers and cabbage. Apple trees, cherry trees and plum trees reign in the orchards. Some farmers also cultivate herbs: camomile, mint and sage.

Atpresent, theagreement partners areconsideringthepossibility of gainingthefunds, but localautonomiesareaware of thedifficulties:

  • legislativeproblems – thelack of complete legal regulationsinPolish law
wisznice community marginal areas
WISZNICE COMMUNITY- MARGINAL AREAS

There are about 5 % barrens in the area of Wisznice Community, where over 20 hectares is owned by the local autonomy. These territories can be successfully used for building infrastructure to gain energy from renewable sources. This are good places for PVPPs (photovoltaic power platns).

I belived that such investments would be profitable for my municipalities. So it will be next project.
