  5. Determine the Appropriate Measurement Badriya wants to buy a blanket that will cover the top of her bed. Her bed is 78 inches long and 36 inches wide. Determine whether she should find the perimeter, area, or volume. Then solve. The bed is a rectangle 78 inches long and 36 inches wide. Example 1

Formula for area of a rectangle A = 78 × 36 A = 2,808 Multiply. Answer: The area of the bed is 2,808 square inches. Example 1
