  2. Agenda • 8 Semester Degree Completion Plan • Transfer Student Orientation • Math Updates • Provisional Freshmen • First Year Experience

  3. 8 SDCP All new freshmen must sign the agreement.

  4. Transfer Student Orientations • The University now has an online orientation for transfer students • Students will be directed to contact their Dean’s Offices • AFLS (partnering with ARCH and ENGR) will have 2 sessions for transfer students: • Friday, June 26 at 1:00 pm • Thursday, August 13 at 1:00 pm

  5. Math Updates • MATH 0003 Any ACT Score • MATH 1204 19 or HIGHER • MATH 1203c 22 or HIGHER • Overrides into math: http://math.uark.edu/2777.htm

  6. Provisional Freshmen • Alice, Ki or Laura will notify you if your student is a provisional freshmen • You no longer have to have the student sign an agreement letter • The required course for provisional freshmen (NDPFAG) is now a two hour course: EDUC 1012 (formally EDUC 100V) Effective College Learning Strategies

  7. First Year Experience Courses • Cohorts have been defined – Ki Peppers • New additions!!! • BIOL 1543/1541L • CHEM 1074/1071L • CHEM 1103/1101L

  8. Advisor Information Session • Please remember to encourage students to request a peer mentor. • After June 12th, I will be unavailable until July 6th. Contact Laura Gamble (575-2253) or Jody Davis (575-5739) with advising questions. • Any questions???
