Empowering Hispanic Community: Combating Type 2 Diabetes at Natividad Medical Center

This collaborative initiative aims to address the rising prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes among Hispanic populations in the U.S., especially children and adolescents, through culturally informed prevention programs targeting key risk factors and socio-cultural influences. By restarting diabetes classes and support groups, providing bilingual resources, and engaging community channels, Natividad Medical Center seeks to mitigate health disparities and improve outcomes in a high-need area. Emphasizing education, lifestyle changes, and support, this project advocates for proactive health initiatives to foster a healthier future for the Hispanic population in Salinas City.
