Crocodilians • Have powerful jaws, a lengthy snout & sharp teeth. • Large ones-yank on mammals & birds into water, rip them apart by violently spinning their body then gulp the chunks down. • Adjust their body temperature with behavioral and physiological mechanisms. • Have complex behavior; guard nests and assist hatchlings into water-similar to birds.
