  10. Academic Discovery Center Major, Minor, Cluster Major - Your major field of study (45-80 credits depending on your degree) Minor - Less than a major field of study (20-25 credits) Cluster - A group of classes focusing on a certain subject (12-15 credit hours)

Academic Discovery Center Gateway Foundations Courses Complete within First Two Semester • FDMAT 108 - Math for the Real World • FDENG 101 - Writing & Reasoning Foundations • FDSCI 101- Science Foundations • FDAMF 101 - American Foundations or FDCIV 101 – Foundations of Civic Society Prerequisites to other Foundations courses.

  15. Academic Discovery Center Class Planning Recommended Balance Approach Per Semester • 2 Foundations courses • 1 Religion course • Major courses or 2-3 courses to explore major interests See your major’s course sequencing recommendations

  16. Academic Discovery Center • To maintain GOOD Academic Standing, you must maintain a: • 2.0 Cumulative GPA • 2.0 Semester GPA • If you drop below a semester 2.0 GPA or Cumulative 2.0 GPA, you move to the next academic standing level.
