  1. Integrated luminosity at s = 8 TeV https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CMSPublic/LumiPublicResults ~35 days of proton running left… If they deliver 1/fb per week, we will end up with ~23/fb delivered Scrubbing + machine development + physics run with 25 ns spacing scheduled for December (recall: we normally run with 50ns spacing) G. Rakness (UCLA)

  2. Various • Gave talk at October Upgrade/CMS week • Proposed set of global runs to commission CMS in Long-Shutdown 1 • Intend to provide shifts during LS1 so detectors can stay ON • Indicated commissioning activities for subsystems that they might not known about… • VME computers (CAEN VME) • DCS computers (slow control) • Trigger Control and Distribution System (replace TTC) • Almost got ECAL+Pixel+Run Coordination to agree on what to do on deadtime around a Resync command • Presently running with 8 orbits + 8 orbits (before and after) • ECAL wants more, but didn’t get it… G. Rakness (UCLA)

  3. To do • I have to finish my TWEPP proceedings (due Thursday) • Run Coordination • Work on “Golden” certification + documentation of hardware downtimes • Rework shift leader training • Make shift summary Elog template for shift leader • CSC • Check ALCT slow control firmware at 904… then at p5 on chamber with strange ADC values • Finish documentation of CSC timing • https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CMS/CSCsynchronizationDocuments • Put firmware into SVN • RAT firmware loading • As well… • Make neutron skims G. Rakness (UCLA)
