Schedule • Due to weather conditions, last week has quite a few bumps on the road: APEX and Maintenance pushed to 2/11-2/12, recovery late into 2/13 (vacuum issues). • Blue vertical and Yellow longitudinal SC repairs have been completed. Blue transverse cooling is now at the same rate as Yellow. • Recent issues dealt with: • numerous QLI’s occurred: yi10-dh0 (regulator card), 11b-qd1 (FEC timing), yellow quadrupole flattop module (airflow fault), yo4-qd3 (oscillations), yo5-qf2-ps (tripped to OFF state); • ODH alarm on 2/10 that kept RHIC off all morning; • still dealing with aftermaths of the vacuum problems: limits on beam intensities, also have high losses again at transition (ramp efficiency down to ~83%). • This week: APEX on 2/17 during the day. PHENIX magnet polarity switch planned for 2/18. • Next week: APEX + Maintenance day might be pushed back by 1 day to accommodate a tour of STAR and PHENIX halls. G. Robert-Demolaize, Time Meeting
