It highlights the need for technical assistance and capacity building to integrate MDGs into the NDS, alongside the financial support received for consultation workshops. Additionally, it covers the status of poverty analysis, MDG reporting, and the completion of the MDG report expected by July 11th.

1. Status of NSDS Current NDS in its final year (2003-7) New NDS (2008-2011) is under formulation with MDG and Pacific Plan, is under preparation. Assistance required TA and capacity building to mainstream MDG and PP into NDS Financial support for consultation workshops (pp to UNDP) In 3rd quarter 2007.
2. Status of Poverty Analysis • HIES undertaken and analysed in 2006 • Still in draft form • Assistance required: • Capacity building of NSO in data analysis • TA to develop MDG indicators using HIES • This year when NDS is being prepared.
3. Status of MDG reporting • 2 local consultants • Have collected data • Currently writing MDG report • MDG report to complete in July 11th.
