  1. Thursday, October 6th, 2011 TippecanoeHighSchool Daily Announcements

  2. Count Week! Make your attendance COUNT during COUNT WEEKOctober 3rd-7th!  The state of Ohio determines funding during count week (based on the number of students in attendance).  It is very important that all absences be reported to the office for documentation purposes.  As always, please be sure to call the office or send in a note if your child is ill or has a doctor’s appointment.

  3. Today: • Grandparents’ Day TOMORROW! • COUNT WEEK! • STEM Club in Mr. Bonifas room 202 (2:35-3:30)

  4. Today: • Congratulations to the TMS Cross Country Team for their outstanding performances at the Tippecanoe Invitational last evening!  For the second straight meet, both the boy’s team and girls’ team ran to a first place championship. Congratulations to Emily Wolfe and Mitchell Poynter for taking first place in each of their races. Receiving medals for top ten performances were Emily Wolfe 1st, Abbi Halsey 5th, Baylee Norman 7th and Anna Klepinger 9th. Also scoring team points for the girls were: Nikita Parks 12th, Kayla Bruns 13th and Rachel Jenkins 18th.   There were 88 girls in this race. • Receiving medals for placing in the top ten were Mitchell Poynter 1st, Mitchel Fischer 3rd, Kevin Bridgett 6th, Noah Lingg 7th, and Austin Haas 10th. Also scoring team points for the boys were RikuFakada 12th, and Evan Arnett 16th. Special congratulations to Mitchel Fischer whose time of 11:28 moved him into 9th place on the all-time top ten record board! Congratulations to the Josh May and Zane Willoughby for achieving personal records.

  6. Saturday: • Good Luck to our TMS Cross Country Team at the Centerville Stampede (9:30)

  7. Grandparents Day! • Reminders: • Grandparents Day is THIS Friday, October 7th • Time: 9:45 – 11:15. • Your grandparents should be bringing a lunch for you to share. • Lawn chairs / blankets to eat outside. • You need to be on your best behavior!

  8. Athletics: Please visit our athletic webpage for all sport schedules, scores, directions & more! The Varsity Football Team will HOST STEBBINS this Fri, 10/7 @ 7:30.  THIS IS OUR HOMECOMING WEEKEND!!!  Your RED DEVILS enter the game with a record of 6-0 while the Indians enter with a record of 0-6.  Adult Tickets are $6.00 and Student Tickets are $4.00 – valid for all students in grades 1 to 12.  If interested please see Mr. Mead during lunch for your tickets and remember all tickets at the gate will be $6.00

  9. Athletics: The Tippecanoe Athletic Boosters are pleased to announce that Clark’s Compounding & Home Medical (formerly Clark’s Pharmacy) will be selling our Red Devil clothing.  All proceeds from these sales will benefit the Tippecanoe Athletic Boosters and our students.  Please visit Clark’s for all of your Tippecanoe Apparel needs – Monday thru Friday from 9:00 to 5:00.  The Booster Fan Store apparel will also be available Friday at the game Friday Night.  T-Shirts and Sweatshirts are discounted this week!!!

  10. Destination Imagination If you are interested in robotics, solar energy, creating your own movie trailer, engineering, acting or community service we have just the team for you… Destination Imagination (DI)!  Tipp city is setting up teams to compete in these areas.  If interested please pick up a DI form in the front office.  Teams will be made up of 5-7 people. So get a group of friends together and register now!  Please turn your registration form into Tipp Monroe Community Services or your child’s school by Fri, 10/21. 

  11. Yearbook There will be an informational meeting for Yearbook staff on Wed, 10/12 from 2:30 to 3:00 for ANY student in the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in Mrs. Shirk’s room

  12. How canwe help raise $ for TMS? • Please bring in box tops and labels for education! • Water Bottles for sale in office (limited quantity) they are $5 each
