POSSIBLE TOPICS TO CHOOSE FROM • Your family business (blacksmithing, etc.) • Daily life in the home (cooking, leisure activities, living conditions, illness and medicine, etc.) • Transportation (horses,ships, etc.) • Schooling, apprenticeships • Politics, laws and crime • Anything else that interests you!

Poster details, part 3 Picture/Visuals Triangle • Show visuals relating to your topic • Use any medium you like (drawing, stamping, fabric art, samples of crafts) • Any drawings should be done a separate paper, neatly cut out, and glued to your poster so there are no mistakes. • Be creative! Be Authentic to the time!

  10. Poster details, part 5 Interesting Facts Square • Record anything fun and interesting about your topic…especially things that don’t fit easily into other categories. • You may use bullets for this section • Sentences must be typed, printed and pasted onto your poster.

  11. How do you gather your research? • Book (REQUIRED) • Internet (REQUIRED) • Field trip, magazines, periodicals, encyclopedias, videos… • ***Note: Three different types of sources are required so you have a good variety of information.

  12. How will you record your research? We’re glad you asked! You will receive familiar looking Note Sheets to use for recording information from your sources. They look like this.

  13. What will you turn in? • Your completed Note Sheets • Your lovely poster • A Bibliography listing your sources

  14. What will you be graded on? • GOOD QUALITY INFORMATION • Neatness • Creativity • Organization • Effort • Conventions (of course!)

  15. Summary of the Project • Gather Information • Read Sources • Take Notes on Note sheets- DUE MAY 19th • Poster-DUE MAY 26th • Presentation to Class
