Specific Objectives • Formulate a policy-driven, comprehensive and needs-orientated HIV/AIDS workplace program • Prevent further infection and reduce stigmatization • Reduce severity and frequency of HIV related disease through a comprehensive health care and employee wellness approach • Ensure appropriate human resource development, organisational development, and employee benefits planning and management

    10. Component II: Comprehensive Health Care • Health Promotion / Wellness • Condom Availability and Distribution • Voluntary Counselling and Testing Services • Workplace services for syndromic Rx of STIs • DOTS for TB • HIV/AIDS Disease Management System

    11. Component II: Comprehensive Health Care - VCT • VCT Campaign • Ongoing on-site access to VCT • Promotion of VCT services • Upgrading GP skills in VCT

Component IV: Community Involvement – launch Oct 2002 • Employees’ families & communities • “Community” of suppliers, contractors & dealers • Organised Business - SABCOHA • Organised Labour • Government • NGOs & CBOs & other civil society formations • International - Global Business Coalition / GHI / etc
