How to Get Funded for Events Note: Each club is given $150
Before Sept 4th… • Just like last year • Step 1: Plan Event • Step 2: Submit itemized budget to Dianne Bach (MDL 252, dianneba@usc.edu) at least 1 week before event • Step 3: Hold Event • Step 4: Go to website for forms http://medweb.usc.edu/student_groups/ASSM/2011nontrvlReimbursement.htm • Submit to Dianne: 1. ASSM Non-Travel Reimbursement Coversheet (SSN required by the university) 2. Non-Travel Expense Report (SSN next to signature required by the university) 3. Original receipts taped onto a 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper (no staples)
After Sept 4th… • Step 1: Plan Event • Step 2: Submit itemized budget to Dianne Bach (MDL 252 or dianneba@usc.edu) • If <$1000, budget must be submitted 3 weeks in advance • If > or equal to $1000, budget must be submitted 5 weeks in advance • NEED INVOICE from vendor • I will email you within a few days about how much money ASSM can provide (if it is <$150, it is automatically approved to that amount) • Step 3: Submit request to GSG website: http://www.gpssusc.com/finance/apply-for-funding/budget-proposal-form.html • Step 4: Receive Funding from GSG (should be within 1 week) • PO, IR, or P-Card • They will email you with the information • Step 5: Hold Event
How to Fill out GSG Online Form • http://www.gpssusc.com/finance/apply-for-funding/budget-proposal-form.html • Under General Information, • Campus Address: • can use: Student Affairs (Student Union Building 201) • Under Co-Sponsorship Information, • Organization Name: • ASSM • Amount of Sponsorship: • Amount that Dianne emailed you back • Under Event Information: • Expected Attendance: 100 (or more) • Percentage Graduate: 100% • Provide a brief description of the event including agenda, promotional plans, and benefit for Graduate Students/USC Community: make it fluffy and how it’s a “vital part to our community” • Under Vendor Information: • Don’t worry about vendor name/code
