Counselor Connections Cyber Bullying • Cyber Bullying is bullying that takes place using electronic devices (Tablets, Phones, Computers, etc.) which include social media sites, text messages, and websites. • Unlike other types of bullying, Cyber bullying is different because: • It can happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. • It can reach you when you are alone instead of in front of a group of people. • Messages and images can be posted anonymously and can reach a lot of people quickly. • Deleting messages, texts, photos, etc, is extremely difficult once they hit the internet. • The same rules apply to cyber bullying as all the other types of bullying. REPORT any activity that is harmful or could be considered bullying to a trusted ADULT!
