  4. Pre Made Tea • In a 1 gallon container: • Place a funnel in the top of the container • Take 1 full Formula 1 Scooper of Herbal Concentrate Tea • Be sure that your funnel is dry, and that the bottom of the funnel is NOT in the water. • Pour the tea, through the funnel, into the gallon of water. • Shake the gallon to blend the tea and water • Have the cold pre-made, in the refrigerator • With a permanent marker, label the gallons with the flavor of tea, and the date that you prepared the gallon • It may be good practice to purchase new gallons on a regular schedule (every 1 to 2 weeks) – this can also be filled in a Beverage Server.

  5. Pouring a Cup of Cold Tea • Pouring a cup of cold tea: • Take your cup (for cold beverages) • Mark with Permanent Marker the Member’s Name and a letter designate for flavor of tea • L for Lemon • O for Original • R for Raspberry • P for Peach • Fill cup first with ice – 1 measuring cup • Pour the already prepared tea in the cup of ice • Put on flat lid and serve with straw

  6. 7. How to Make a WOW Smoothie

  8. How to make a WOW smoothie • There is an art to making a GREAT Smoothie! • This is important in creating a good experience for your first time guests and members – so they WANT to come back daily even though they have Herbalife products at home! • Have the right consistency; not too thick or too thin • No ice chunks left in the smoothie • Taste as to be WOW – so not over blending or too watered down with too much ice. • You want to fill your cup with smoothie to mound over the top of the cup – so the dome lid goes on and it fills half of the dome lid.

  9. How to make a WOW smoothie • Your City and/or State may require NSF (National Sanitary Foundation) blenders. • Look for 4 blades in the bottom of the blender (not 2 blades) • Check FSSebc Supply list for recommended blenders. • Our suggestion is to invest in an EXCELLENT Blender as this is the Tool that you will use in your club all day long. • We recommend “The Quiet One” by Vita Mix due power, the redesigned container and easily pour to save time and energy – and lowest noise decimal – especially important for open smoothie bar/counter layout.

  10. How to make a WOW smoothie • Mark cup with Member Name and Smoothie # • Making a smoothie with Protein Drink Mix (PDM) and Formula 1: • Be sure to add the ingredients in the blender in this order: (have what you need pull out by you for effeciency • 6 oz. Filtered water (put it back on blender and turn blender on low) • 1 Scoop PDM (Chocolate or Vanilla depending on which shake) • 2 Scoops Formula 1 • Any extra Personalized Protein Powder or Active Fiber Complex • Additional ingredients (puddings, spices, syrups etc.) • Follow the recipe (Get from the FSSeBC) • Put the lid on the blender, and blend for 5 seconds

  11. How to make a WOW smoothie • Stop and add frozen fruits – if any per recipe and blend • Stop and remove lid, and add 16 oz. of Ice and blend • Need block ice like you get from the grocery store, or Ice you get at a restaurant, Do Not use ice like you get from an ice maker in a regular home refrigerator. • May need to adjust amount of ice per ice machine, blender, & if there are add frozen fruits. • NOTE: If you are using Vita Mix or Blendtec blenders that have the enclosed case for reduced sound – such as “The Quiet One” then You can ADD the ice at the same time with all other ingredients and blend. • Blend until smooth (about 30 seconds)

  12. How to make a WOW smoothie • If smoothie is too thick, or if the blender is stuck because of the amount of ice, squirt a little water in the blender • Have an Herbalife water bottle with water in it if you have an exposed kitchen; good branding • If smoothie is too thin, add another ice cube 1 at a time until it is the right consistency • If blend too long then PDM gets too creamy, fluffy and looses taste. • If you are newer… taste to make sure it is good before serving • Make a goal to make & taste ALL 35+ flavors for yourself – a different one each day until you tasted it all so you know how to describe the flavor to your member.

  13. Assignment • Get back to your mentor and share what was your Biggest take away for the day. • Go to FSSebc and print out NC Smoothie Recipe and bring it with you tomorrow and select which smoothie you will make tomorrow. • Come early tomorrow!
