    2. 1 PETER 4:11 “If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God.” “Church” Denomination. Used in two ways in the Bible: Universal sense: “I will build My church…” (Mt. 16:18) Local sense: “…churches of Galatia” (Gal. 1:2); “seven churches of Asia” (Rev. 2-3).

    13. “MINISTER” DEFINED The word “minister” is never used as a title for a preacher in the New Testament. “my Minister,” “our Minister,” “the Minister.”

    15. “MINISTER” DEFINED Minister Noun – “diakonos” "a servant, attendant, minister, deacon.” Philippians 1:1 and 1 Tim. 3:8-13 “deacons.” “deacons” = special servants of the church. The preacher is not the only “minister” of the local congregation!

    16. EVERY CHRISTIAN IS A MINISTER! “Speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where it is silent.” “Do Bible things in Bible ways, and call Bible things by Bible names.”

    17. EVERY CHRISTIAN IS A MINISTER! “If any one speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God.” (1 Peter 4:11) “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Colossians 3:17)

Romans 15:16 “Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God, that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.”

    23. THE DISTINCTIVENESS OF THE CHURCH It speaks where the Bible speaks (1 Peter 4:11). Every Christian ministers as a priest of God (1 Peter 2:5).

    25. GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION Hear the gospel (Romans 10:17). Believe in Christ (John 8:24). Repent of sins (Acts 2:38). Confess Jesus (Romans 10:9-10). Be baptized (Acts 2:38). Live faithfully (Revelation 2:10). Repent, confess sin, pray for forgiveness (Acts 8:22; 1 John 1:9)
