  14. Offer of understanding The CBE understands that changes in school designation can be difficult for students, parents and communities. However, to keep your community schools vibrant, changes in program delivery and student designation must occur. After collaborating with parent and school groups, we understand that communities would benefit from a long-term transition plan that would allow programs to phase out gradually, thereby minimizing the impact on students, parents and communities. Key messages

  15. Information Sharing The regular program population in the Canyon Meadows and Southwood communities is projected at such low numbers that it becomes difficult to offer a full regular program that meets the needs and interests of those students While program closure is being considered, closure of the Canyon Meadows School and Robert Warren School are not being considered at this time. Key messages

  16. Call for participation The 3-stage process that we call a Long Range Student Accommodation Planning Process is ongoing, and you are an important part of this process. This process is about you, your community, your needs, but most importantly, your children. Your voice matters. The CBE has worked with community and school representatives to identify possible solutions. We need your feedback on these proposed solutions to understand the pros and cons of the identified scenario. The process is not confidential and we welcome participation from any interested stakeholder. Tell others about your experience and help us get further feedback to guide our work in a way that responds to community needs. Key messages
