  3. Get Off To A Good Start • Make a strong, authentic case for the building based on the church’s mission statement • Deal with perceptions • Plan the building around growth strategies, ministry needs and careful studies

  4. Prioritize Building Needs • Develop a growth /health strategy • Set priorities around tools that help implement growth/health strategies

  5. Use Building Program To Grow Congregation • Deepen understanding of mission and work of the church • Test assumptions about what is best for the church • Grow better stewards • Develop community spirit • Establish positive direction • Give glory to God (what He did)

  6. Don’t Let Building Become the Main Thing • Don’t postpone purpose of the church until building gets built • Keep evangelism, outreach, ministry and missions on the front burner • Buildings don’t reach people; people do • Buildings don’t build great churches; God does
