Warrior Selection • (A – G)requirements must be completed by high school graduation with C grades or better. • NOsummer work after High School graduation will be accepted to meet admission requirements. • Students must meet the minimum Eligibility Index. • ALLstudents who wish to declare a major or minor in Music are required to audition in their major performing medium (vocal, instrumental, or keyboard) before a • faculty panel.

  5. Admission Deadlines • Freshmen should not submit transcripts along with their application; we will ask for them if required. • Notification of admission begins after the application deadline. ***$200 Enrollment Deposit due by May 1, 2012***

  6. After a student applies… • Students will receive a Confirmation Letter via Postal Mail in 2-3 weeks. • Students must activate their MyCSUStanportal and University emailin order to view their admission status and important deadlines. This is the primary means of communication. • If any changes occur after the application has been submitted, students must send them to admissions@csustan.eduimmediately, but no later than May 2013. • Reminder:Students are conditionallyadmittedto the campus. Upon review of final transcripts, students will be rescinded if admission requirements are not met. • Students must attend New Student Orientation (NSO) in order to register for courses. to register before the first day of classes.

  7. Early Start • Early Start Courses (subject to change) : • ESE 00110L: Composition workshop • ESE 1000: Intro to Composition • ESM 0099 College Prep Math • ESM 0130 Pre and Beginning Algebra • ESM 0106 Inter Algebra for Non Math/Science

  8. Appeal Process • If denied admissions and seeking an appeal, a 1-page letter from the student must be submitted to the Admissions Review Committee. Visit the admission website for further details on the process http://www.csustan.edu/admissions • Appeal must be submitted no later than 2 weeks after receiving an admissions decision • No letter of recommendation required • Once petition has been reviewed, students will be contacted by mail with final decision within 2 weeks.

Testing & Exemptions • Test early: 3 opportunities (January, Feb., March) • Ensures earlyNew Student Orientation (NSO) • Students must attend NSO in order to register before the first day of classes • Students will be required to participate in Early Start if not exempt. • ELM score of less than 50 • EPT score of less than 138 • If ELM/EPT scores are not on file SAT/ACT/EAP will be used
