  1. Reserve & Pickup with Motorola MWF How it works, step by step

  2. The Shopper uses a mobile shopping application or web site powered by Retailigence to locate the item she is looking to buy. She clicks on the search result to get more details on the product and where it is available.

  3. The Shopper selects the “reserve item” option. She confirms the quantity, size and color*that she wants to reserve and clicks “Check Out Now”. *options vary by retailer and product

  4. The item is added to the Shopper’s cart and the reservation is submitted. The item SKU is sent to the retailer to ensure the correct item is placed on hold and a scanable pickup code is provided to confirm purchase at the store.

  5. The store associate receives a notification of the hold request. If the retail store has implemented a Motorola MWF solution, the notification will go directly to associate’s handheld device. *Motorola MC40 workflow featured here

  6. Through the WFM system, the store associate reviews the details of the requested item and confirms whether or not the specified item is available for pickup. SKU: 886524570232 *Motorola MC40 workflow featured here

  7. The store associate then either confirms or declines the reservation. If the reservation is declined, the store associate must specify the reason. *Motorola MC40 workflow featured here

  8. Lastly, the Shopper receives an email confirming the status of her reserved item. If the item is available for pickup, she continues to the store where the item is set aside for her. The Shopper can try it on and purchase through normal checkout, where the store associate confirms that the item has been picked up by scanning the Pickup code.
