  1. Event Stage Designs - Everything you need to know Event stage design is everything that goes into creating a presentation space for an event. From lighting to props and furniture, there are many different elements that you can use to create an impact on your audience. A great event stage design can be replicated across all other areas of a venue (e.g. break out areas etc) and is a useful tool for making a statement and engaging with attendees. So, what do you need to know about event stage designs? It’s important to get clear on your theme. The event theme will be vital for stage design because it will heavily influence the aesthetic. For example, a TED-talk style event will require a very different stage design to a gala dinner. You may want to have a streamlined, professional look - or something more upbeat and vibrant. Either way, it’s essential to get clear on this well before you turn your attention to stage design. The venue will be key. For some people, it’s the venue that comes first and the stage design fits around that but for others it’s all about finding somewhere to accommodate the right stage. Make a list of what you want from both and then look for a venue that hits all the dealbreakers.

  2. Put your audience front and centre. They might not be front and centre on the stage but your audience should be at the forefront of your mind when it comes to how you design the stage for an event. Get clear on the tastes and preferences of your audience, what they are likely to enjoy and elements of the stage that are going to increase engagement. Have very clear event goals. The stage is there to serve a purpose and that purpose is going to be driven by the goals and objectives that you set. For example, do you want to create a space that will accommodate a stage as a focal point but also lots of space for networking? It’s essential to be clear about the goals you have for the event before you start looking at space-consuming stage design. Think about all the key elements in stage design. There are lots of ways to create great stage design and these tend to start with the individual components. Stage shape is going to be important, for example, as well as the weight and size of the stage and the items that are on it. Where do you want to place items on the stage - so how much space do you need - and what expectations do you have in terms of colour and texture? Incorporate all the components that you need. Your stage will necessarily have a number of different components, including screens, lighting, technology and technology - all of which will need to be factored in during the design process. Event stage design makes a big difference to the impact your event can have and this is everything you need to know about what that entails.
