  2. The free slaves The slaves was free in 1865 but it wasn’t good for the Americans. The Americans was free but when they was free they couldn’t get no jobs or every where to live. They said “it was better being a slave because we had some where to live some food but now we have nothing” that day was the worse day for the black people

  4. How it was as a slave Being a slave was hard for the black people they got told what to do, they had to work every day no breaks like we do now. White and black people use to hate each other they didn’t like each other. The black people got hurt they got cuts. If they tried to run away they will get hurts normally foot cut off. They had no choice they had to be a slave

  5. How it was when they was free It was bad for the slave they still got treated bad they couldn’t get money they couldn’t go back to their country they needed food but they couldn’t find none they didn’t know where the family was.
