CHANCERY CODING • Chancery automatically pulls the contact hours for CTE courses so it is essential that coding is done properly- • Select the correct course • Make sure the teacher is certified • Make sure the course meets the correct amount of time:
CHANCERY CODING Average minutes per day in CTE class: Code V1 45 – 89 Code V2 90 – 149 Code V3 150 - 180+ Average minutes per day must be computed by reviewing a complete cycle of classes. For example, if a class meets on even-numbered days of the month, a two-week cycle must be reviewed.
CHANCERY CODING • Take care when scheduling early release and other special days that sufficient time is spent in CTE courses to result in correct average. • Important CTE students’ schedules are updated and the effective date of any change is actually the date the CTE funding should start
CHANCERY CODING • Update Course Details and Override Contact Hours for Funding
CHANCERY CODING • Correct Service IDs are essential for PEIMS reporting
CHANCERY CODING • All CTE students must be assigned an effective date and a participation code
CHANCERY CODING • WBL Coding
CONCLUSIONS • Approved plans must be on file by assigned deadlines • Chancery coding must be done accurately and continuously • Progress reports will be provided to principals, region superintendents, and central office departments
