  2. Sharing • Internationalism is portrayed in this photo because it shows how the world is one big community of people working together for the good of their own nations. The different colors can be representative of different cultures I the world.

  3. Rwanda Relations • The relationship between Romeo Dallaire and the Rwandan President shows how Rwanda wants to rebuild and change the world image of their country. The genocide was initiated by the Belgium colonization within Rwanda.

  4. WW1 • World War 1 was an international affair because it was the uniting of allies who fought against a common enemy. It was a global fight and many different countries and cultures were involved.

  5. Thailand • The tsunami within Thailand united many different nations to come together to help a country in desperation. It was a devastating international affair that affected not only the country of Thailand but many other ones as well. It brought many nations together to assist Thailand in its time of supression.

  6. Iraq • The war in Iraq portrays internationalism, because its an international dispute. Soldiers from the United States and Canada are on peace keeping missions within Iraq to try and restore peace within the country. Many Canadian and US Soldiers have risked their lives for the well being of another nation.

  7. Flags • The flags all together is symbolic of how these nations unite economically, politically and socially to help and support each other through disaster relief, trade, government exchange and many other things.

  8. Holocaust • The Holocaust was an international disaster . Over 6 million people of many different races and belief systems were murdered. Many countries also portrayed internationalism by uniting as allies against a destructive enemy. It was also a World War which constitutes of it being a multination battle for freedom.

  9. G8 • The G8 is an international gathering among the top economic leaders in the world. They discuss economy, politics and social well being of the worlds nations. It’s a great example of internationalism due to the leaders uniting to try to achieve together the best they can for our nations.

  10. Trade • Canada has many major trade partners. Trade is internationalism because it is countries sharing goods they have in abundance for goods they have little of. We trade oil and grain for rice and electronics. It is also a very economic way to strengthen ties between countries.

  11. Olympics • The Olympics are an exceptional form of internationalism because they consist of almost every country contributing athletes for various sports for competition. It is also a form of nationalism because each country takes exceptional pride in each of their athletes no matter what the result.
