APPLICATION NOTE " MEDICAL STERILIZERS " APPLICATION To kill bacteria , the products to be sterilized are placed into a temperature chamber at 121 Deg C , for a specified time . A recorder is used to document that sterilzation was accomplished according to the local regulations. CUSTOMER NEEDS . Need to record the process temperature of the cavity ( T1 ) , the internal ? pressure ( P ) , and optionally the inside temperature of the load ( T2 ) in the sterilizer . The Sterilization sequence ?is made by the PLC of the autoclave ? A contact signals the Start ?, and the End ? of the sterilization sequence ? Channel 2 = Temperature of the cavity Input 2 ( T1 ) = 50 to 150 Deg C Pt 100 Scale2 = 50 to 150 Deg C . Channel 3 = Temperature of the product ( insert probe ) : Optional nput 3 ( T2 ) = 50 to 150 Deg C Pt 100 I Scale 3 = 50 to 150 Deg C . 2 Digital input contacts ( see here below ) . No alarm output . At contact opening : ? - The unit prints time - Continue to print the PV抯 until the memory buffer is emptied , but stop the aquisitions - T hen makes a fast chart advance of 50 to 60 mm - Then , stops the recording .
