  2. Location The Native American Navajo tribe.is one of the largest tribes of American Indians. They lived in the south west in areas that are today Arizona new Mexico Colorado and Utah • Are tribe is mostly from Arizona and New Mexico, Colorado, and utah. • Are tribe is in the southwest.

  3. HOMES The Navajo lived in Hogan's. A Hogan was a domed shaped house with a wood frame and walls made out of clay. The door of the Hogan always faced east so they could see the sun rise. • They put spheres for a roof and put hexagon for walls. There houses were made of wood and brick.

  4. Clothing • When the weather was cold, they ware clothing made from deer skin, sheep skin, and wool • There cloths were made out of colorful feathers.

  5. Food • The Navajo ate corn, fruit, beans, pumpkins, and melons • they eat meat and vegetables. • They hunt and plant. They planted to.

  6. Roles of Men and Women • The men spent there time with a small group of relatives on their mothers side. while Navajo men traveled they looked for members of their mothers clan. • The child has property of their moms property.

  7. Trades and Art • Yes. They are famous for their silver ware. • Yes. They weaved. • Maybe they traded jewelry.

  8. Interesting Information • The bride and groom is suppose to eat from the same basket.
