Services for Seniors • Provide Long Term Care Services at three locations within the prescribed regulations of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and the Homes for the Aged Act • Allendale (Milton, 200 beds) • Post Inn Village (Oakville, 228 beds) • Creek Way Village (Burlington, 144 beds)

Services for Seniors • Provide personal support services through the Supportive Housing Program, and social and recreational activities through the Adult Day Programs to seniors with disabilities to enable them to continue to live in the community - 2 Adult Day Programs located within Allendale • Milton Place Program (20 clients per day) • Friends’ Landing (8 cognitively impaired clients per day) - Wellington Terrace in Burlington • personal support services to 39 designated units as well as one (1) respite unit 24h/day • Dining Room service (Halton Regional Café)

Social and Community Services • Assisted Senior Housing in Halton Region • There are 24 non-profit senior housing communities in Halton • 1,695 units targeted for rent-geared-to-income occupancies • 254 units targeted for market rent occupancies • Access to 20 of these communities (1,520 RGI units) is coordinated through a centralized waiting list system, called Halton Access To community Housing (HATCH). This is managed by Halton Region

Social and Community Services • In order to apply, applicants submit an application form that allows them to select the communities of their choice • In order to be housed in a senior housing unit with RGI assistance, the household must meet the following criteria: • at least one household member has to be 65 years of age or older • The market rent of the unit is more than 30% of the total household income

  24. Social and Community Services • Aging in place: 250+ of the senior units allocated through the centralized waiting list are programmed for support service arrangements. These services typically include personal care and homemaking.
