  4. WHAT IS RGEE ? • RasGas Elements for Excellence – RGEE • RGEE is RasGas’ way of ensuring high standards of environmentally sound and safe execution of quality work and practices during construction and operations. • Contractors must work to the same high standards

WHAT IS RGEE? • Systematic, structured, disciplined approach to the reduction of Safety, Health and Environmental risk in RasGas activities and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. • Focus is on identifying hazards and managing risks • Seeks to produce safe operations in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations • Implementation and improvements is a Line Management responsibility • Framework consists of 11 Elements and 27 Systems Click Here during slide show Click Here during slide show

Evolution of RGEE RGEE is an Industry specific Management System adopted from the OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System) of Exxon Mobil. • 2001 ExxonMobil OIMS Rollout to RasGas • 2002 OIMS Deployment (OIMS changed to RGEE) • 2002/03 Implementation Focus on Status • 2004/05 Focus of Continuous Improvement • 2006/07 Effectiveness & Promotion of RGEE ensuring profound understanding at grassroots' levels

EXAMPLE OF RGEE ARRANGEMENT Element 2 - Risk Assessment and Management - Comprehensive risk assessments can reduce risk to safety, health, and the environment and mitigate the consequences of incidents by providing essential information for decision making. • Corporate Expectation 2.1 - A system is in place to identify hazards, assess consequences and probabilities, and evaluate prevention and mitigation measures for the ongoing management of risk. MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DEFINITION Management Systems are described in the corporate document RasGas Elements for Excellence as: • A documented series of steps taken to ensure that stated objectives are achieved. • Five Key Characteristics of a Management System • Scope and Objectives • Procedures • Resources Responsible and Accountable for implementation and execution • Verification and Measurement to determine if desired results are being achieved • Feedback Mechanism to provide a basis for future improvement

PURPOSE OF MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS • With Management Systems we: • Identify why and how we do things • Identify who does things • Determine how well we do the things we do • Improve our way of doing them • Brings uniformity and consistency to our business • Increases the probability that today’s good practices will: • Endure • Get better Objectives Procedures Resources/Responsibilities Verification/Measurement Feedback/Improvement
