On September 30, 2008, Agnieszka Lukaszczyk, Vice President of Operations, presented strategic plans for expanding the volunteer base for World Space Week (WSW). The presentation outlined accomplishments and future goals across various directorates, including Educational Relations, Media Relations, and Community Relations. Key initiatives included forming committees in Colombia, the USA, Tanzania, Italy, and Nigeria; translating communications into 22 languages; and improving engagement with National Coordinators and the global space community. Those were sent (over 25 000) to teachers and educational institutions world wide.

Volunteer Needs • Director (or VP?) - Development – Leads efforts to seek support for World Space Week Association and its programs. • Director - Poster -- Oversees development, promotion, and distribution of the annual World Space Week poster. • Director - Web Site – Implements upgrades to the World Space Week web site. • Director - Youth Inspiration Project – Coordinates the Youth Inspiration Project, a global competition which flies students on a zero-G aircraft. • Director – Receptions – Coordinates the Association’s annual awards reception(s). • Director – Participant Support – Coordinates direct support to organizations which hold WSW events
