  2. Academic libraries (and the services they offer) are ALIVE AND WELL!

  3. Innovative collaborations with University partners are essential in expanding and strengthening the librarians’ traditional roles of supporting teaching, learning, and research.

  5. Summer Bridge Program • Center for Teaching Excellence • Center for Service Learning

  6. Summer Bridge Programs • Provide a library tour and a library contact for program participants • Develop a partnership with a Bridge Program and offer library orientation and a single library instruction to program participants • Create a partnership with the Bridge Program instructors and offer a one-credit class in research skills and information literacy

  7. Centers for Teaching Excellence • Attend programming that is being offered campus-wide and network with faculty • Develop and offer information literacy workshops to faculty and graduate students through the CTE • Under the aegis of the CTE, collaborate with a course instructor and GTA’s to build in scaffolded assignments

  8. Center for Service Learning • Provide library instruction for a class that is doing a service learning project, including attending the presentation, reviewing research materials, providing one-on-one consultations • Contact the Center, investigate service learning opportunities, approach a faculty member about engaging in a service learning project • Become a “co-instructor” in a class, attending class sessions and providing research assistance throughout course
