  4. In Module 1 we look at: • Podcasting • Online assessment • Web Based learning Environment • 3 topics – 3 possible assignments. • You choose. E-learning

  5. E-learning • Podcasting • Using a combination of PPT and PPT2video software, your assignment will be to create a 5 minute presentation of a lesson from your discipline.

  6. E-learning On line assessment/survey Using an online programme you will design a questionnaire and upload it to the web. You could use some of the questions from the test you designed in VP7. Ask your colleagues to complete the test.

  7. Web page Learning Environment • Using an online programme you will design a web page about one topic from your Vocational Discipline. • You will add links, videos and even simple games to help review the lesson, using penalty shootout generator, for example. E-learning

  9. Classroom Debates • In module 2 we look at: • Developing “webinars”

  10. Classroom debates • Term webinar is short for Web-based Seminar, a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web. • You will present Live or Streaming video of a review of a lesson from your discipline and your colleagues will interact and ask questions.

  12. Module 3 we look at: • Blogs • Wikis • Moodle • 3 topics – 3 possible assignments. You choose Social Media

Blogs • Usually the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often are themed on a single subject posted on the Web. • You will create a blog of a review of a lesson from your discipline and your colleagues will interact and ask questions and leave comments Social Media

  14. Wikis • A wiki invites all users to edit any page or to create new pages within the wiki website • You will create a wiki of a review of a lesson from your discipline and invite colleagues to interact, leave comments and add links to similar pages Social Media

  15. Social Media • Moodle • A free e-learning software platform. • You will set up a group on the TTC Moodle site based around your vocational discipline and add participants, a lesson plan even your assignment work from Module 1, such as the podcast.

  17. Media in the classroom • In Module 4 we look at: • Prezzi • Mindmap • Using the software you will design a presentation explaining lesson content from your discipline

  18. Media in the classroom • Prezzi • A cloud-based presentation software that opens up a new world between whiteboards and slides. • Result: visually captivating presentations that lead your audience down a path of discovery.

  21. In Module 5 we look at: • A written assignment developed in class. • This will be your review of VP8 and consist of a Report: a mini – thesis of 600 words • What was useful etc., what could I use in AVP 4 now and in VFP2 next semester. Design written material
