Did You Know? • Discovery Education owns United Streaming • You can find just about any kind of an educational video clip to use in your classroom • Many videos come with lesson plans and ideas for activities • You can copy the URL video link and paste on Eduphoria lesson plans • Discovery Education is one of the most comprehensive resource sites available

It’s free! To learn more about how to use the many tools that Discovery Education has to offer, I will be having some short learning sessions after school starts.

Socrative • It’s free! • May be used on computers, phones, or tablets • Teacher – sign up and get a “room number” • Student – free app for phones or tablets • Quick assessments, exit tickets, quizzes, surveys… • Can be on the fly • Limited to 50 users per activity • Many of your students already have the app!

  14. Glogster • Interactive posters for students • A great way to create a learning center • Multimedia • Students love them • URL based • Teacher assignment • Student sample • Subscription required • Free version is available, but glitchy! • Interactive with Smartboards
