  1. How Has Digitalization Impacted The Legal World? Today, every business has been infiltrated with technology. Due to technology, today we had to bring such changes in our business operation. Thanks to artificial intelligence and HR solutions. These technological advancements have been brought into legal services as well. Over the last two decades, legal services have evolved dramatically. None could have predicted that the legal courts could be held online. Since more youngsters today are opting to make a career in the legal sphere, it is high time to embrace digitization in its full swing. Not only does it help to retain and recruit talent, but it also increases profitability and makes oneself potent enough to stand at par with his competitors. Also, it is due to the emergence of the Coronavirus pandemic, that today free legal advice online in India is taking place. How did it begin? Around the year 2000, a searchable digital library was offered by developing the websites. With time, legal technology expanded. Gradually things like document automation, contract administration, automation, e-billing software, legal analytics, etc., started emerging. Besides, the technology also helped to revolutionize the way legal education was imparted previously. In 2017, the Supreme Court had digitized all the civil appeals, which counted to almost one crore and five lakh pages. Also, the government of India created the ICMS or the Integrated Case Management System. This benefited the courts to digitize their legal services. Cultural changes in the legal sector Today, the legal industry has reconstructed its legal practice and patterns. Besides offering legaladvice online, the technology has brought the following evolutions in the legal sector:

  2. 1.Documentation In the document automation process, technology helps in the process of drafting. All the attorneys and lawyers can gather all their legal papers into a single entity through the document automation process. As a result, it helps them manage the documents well and produce customized documents at ease. Also, this will allow you to reduce the paperwork. 2.E-billing This is an e-invoicing method where a more effortless and faster e-bill is generated. This decreases the mistakes that one can commit in the bills. As a result, this enhances productivity, lessens the complexity of the billing process, and produces a dependable billing system. 3.E-filing Since the coronavirus has put us on the restrictions of going outside, the e-filing system has come up where the cases have to be submitted online. The prisoners and undertrials can communicate with the court directly by filing petitions online. Now, the delayed cases can be accessed soon by submitting the summons faster. 4.E-hearings To ensure that the court hearings are conducted without any trouble, e-hearings have come up where the hearings occur via video conferencing. These are advantageous because they cut down the costs that would have been required for security, transportation, infrastructure, etc. Conclusion Thus, the remote working mode has been made possible due to digitization. Therefore, if you have to join the legal sphere later in life, make sure to get accustomed to these digital processes.
