  2. What is considered to be Improper Displays of Affection at Novinger? • At Novinger High School: pg 22 of the Student Handbook reads… “Improper Display of Affection – Consensual kissing, fondling or embracing.”

  3. What happens if I get caught at Novinger? • First offense: Principal/Student Conference or 1-180 days out-of-school or in-school suspension and possible documentation in student’s discipline record. • Subsequent Offense: 1-180 days of out-of-school or in-school suspension and documentation in student’s discipline record.

  4. Improper Display of Affection at Extra-curricular activities • IDA can also be seen at sporting events and assemblies. • Leaning back against an individual in this manner can be considered IDA. • Remember you represent Novinger HS even when you are a spectator.

  5. Discussion • Do you agree with the IDA policy that we have at Novinger High School? Why or why not? • Do you feel that the policy is too harsh or not strong enough? • Why is IDA something that should not be seen at schools?
