What I expect from you… • FOLLOW DIRECTIONS • Respect yourself, others, and resources • Listen when other speak • Don’t be late ( in assigned seat at bell) • Turn in work on time • No food or drink • No phones (other electronic devices may be used at teachers discretion) • No cheating • No EXCUSES!!!!! • Listen, Think, and Decide (Be Mature)

  4. Health Class Syllabus • This class is participatory in nature. Your attendance is extremely important in order to understand the content, complete assignments, and participate in discussions and other activities. Health class is a required course for graduation. • Supplies required: Folder, access to a computer, paper/ pencil • Grading: Grades will be derived from the following: • Homework and in-class work (study guides/ review sheets, notes, journals, book work, etc.) • Tests and Quizzes- given at teacher’s discretion • CPR written and skills test- assessment used for points as well as for certification purposes • Other- anything else we can think of that will help you learn • Final- a comprehensive written test is given at the end of the semester and is worth 20% of the semester grade

  5. Assignments- Assignments are to be turned in to the trays on time. If not turned in on time, 50% of the points will be deducted from the assignment. Check no name tray if you turned something in not in gradebook. • Attendance: If an absence occurs, it is the student’s responsibility to get and turn in all missed work. Work should be turned in on time if possible. • Text: Books are available for use in the classroom and may be checked out at any time. Return books to shelf when done with them.

Structure and function of major body systems. (A 1-2) • 4. Male and female reproduction anatomy- teen pregnancy (physical and social), • 5. STD's, HIV / AIDS transmission, signs and symptoms, treatments and complications (personal, social, economic). (A3, G4 G5) • 6. Evaluating the effects of tobacco. (I1-2) • 7. Evaluate alcohol and other drugs. (I1-2)
