  3. 3 Events Related to Abraham Lincoln 1. Becoming the 16th president of the U.S.A Abraham Lincoln got elected on November 6th, 1860. He led the united states through the nation’s greatest crises, the Civil War. Lincoln was a master politician. He led by persuasion. He also led by humor. 2. The Civil War The Civil War was about the north and the south fighting for Freedom. Freedom as in no more Slavery. He is credited with saving the union from falling apart. The Civil War ended on March 4th, 1865. 3. The Assassination Abraham was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on April 14th 1865 at Fords Theater. He got shot in the middle of a funny sentence.
