  3. Early Life • second child • Four siblings, one died as a baby • Lived in log cabins growing up • October 1818 Nancy died (Abe’s sister) • Poor when a child • Moved to Indiana in December 1816

  4. School and Education • Abe didn’t have any education. He didn’t go to school.

  5. Family Life • Abe married Mary Todd and soon Mary Todd became Mary Lincoln • They had four children

  6. The Election • Abe picked Hannibal Hamlin and Andrew Jonson • Abe got 180 electoral votes

  7. Important Events • President during civil war • This was an issue because it was a big war and it affected a lot of things
