  2. What is psychology? Psychology is the scientific study of how people think and how they behave.

  3. Why study psychology here? We are dedicated to providing a high quality learning experience for our students. National Student Survey, 2014 Overall satisfaction = 94% (sector average = 87%) Teaching satisfaction = 95% (sector average = 88%) Consistency in high NSS results Overall satisfaction was 96% in 2012, 94% in 2013, and 94% in 2014

Characteristic degree path Year 4: Dissertation – double weighted Four other classes, within which you study eight topics, typically including: Cognitive Impairment in Psychological Disorders, Psychoanalytic Personality Psychology, Practical Aspects of Memory, Qualitative Methods in Practice, Artificial Intelligence, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, Performance Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Perception and Action, Social Development, Neuropsychology of Ageing and Dementia, and the Psychology of Language

  9. Entry to the degree Highers 1st sitting: AAAB 2nd sitting: AAABB A Levels ABB Other methods of entry We aim to provide multiple routes into the degree, and both HNDs and HNCs can also permit entry (the latter direct to second year)
