EFFECTIVE TEAMWORK • Here are a few good suggestions for your teamwork. • Meet prior to activities to decide the following role: • Co-ordinator / Leader. • Time – Keeper. • Rules co-ordinator for each event. • Remember the co-ordinator’s / leader’s job is to direct • the group (not do all the task work) • And to ensure effective teamwork. • 2. Manage your team tasks, utilizing the correct sequence • and behaviour as appropriate eg: • Clear Objective • Select several ideas on approach. • Evaluation of ideas with a contingency plan. • Allocation of Roles to all team members. • Mini Critique Reviews to improve action. • 3. Incorporate good team process into your activities ie: • Listening • Idea Generation. • Risk Stratagies. • Feedback on unhelpful behaviours. • Utilizing conflict positively. • Expression of feelings / frustrations. • Trust / Loyalty and Commitment.
