  20. Probably Not! Most people probably act different in different settings! While this is okay it is important that your actions always reflect positively on you and your environments! 22. How actions can affect you Those same people watching us have the ability to report us or display or actions and attitude in a public format! Think about the things you have personally done or have witnessed! Now image how embarrassing it would be if what you thought was private between you and friends ended up on Facebook, YouTube, twitter, or any other social media page! What if pictures were spread or text messages sent detailing these activities! Is it worth the risk of public embarrassment or humiliation? THE ANSWER IS NO!!!

  23. Consequences for actions What type of trouble could you get it just for “having fun”? • Pictures and Texts….. • Social media content….. • Joking and hitting or touching….. • Name calling an taunting….. • Inside jokes….. • Pranks….. While much of this seems harmless did you know you could be kicked out of school? Arrested by the police? Put in jail? Stuck with a criminal record for the rest of your life!

  24. What they say is not always true! • Text messages and social media can put us in contact with people who are not who they say they are! • Potential for kidnapping, abductions, serious physical injury or death can happen through online encounters • Never talk to someone you don’t know personally • Never agree to meet someone you meet online or though texts • Remember people can lie about their age and stats online and through social media • Do not be peer pressured into doing something you know is wrong!

  25. How can this affect me long term? • You can not get a job today with out a good education! • With a criminal record your ability to find a job will be limited • Depending on the nature of the arrest you may need to notify neighbors when moving into the area of your arrest! Embarrassing you and making you a target for harassment! • You may become outcast by friends and peers sometimes even family! • Your fun times now could equal bad times for the rest of your life!

  26. Avoiding negative affects! • Grandmother / Clergy Theory • Respect others and in turn you will get respect • Actions speak louder than words • People who peer pressure you are not your friends, never do something you know is wrong! • Do the right thing! The right thing is not always easy or popular! Stand up for what’s right and speak out against what's wrong!
