  2. If you have not yet ordered your graduation items, Jostens will be back on campus for the last chance for you to order on campus. They will be here Friday, December 7th in the cafeteria during all 3 lunches! Don’t miss them. The school special on the front of the packet has been extended. You may order online at www.Jostens.com If you need a packet, see Penny in the front office.

  3. AP Registration IS NOW OPEN. GO TO: TOTAL REGISTRATION.NET TO REGISTER You must register online and pay in the Bookstore (F1) by February 1st.

  5. STUDENTS Interested in attending U of A? Here’s your chance to tour the campus, attend a college fair, a student panel and more! U of A Field Trip Thursday, January 24th Permission slips are available outside the College & Career Center door (C201) Permission slips must be turned in no later than January 14th.

  6. LATE BUS PASSES You must have a signed pass to ride the Late Bus. See Mrs. Clemetson in the front office for a Late Bus Pass. Late Bus passes are for students attending tutoring or after school club activities only. Passes require a signature from that particular teacher. A new pass is required each day.

  7. BEAR DOWN FINALS CARE PACKAGES Parents, it’s that time of year! Support your teen during finals week by ordering a BEAR DOWN FINALS CARE PACKAGE! ORDER TODAY!! Finals are the week of December 17 – 20. $10.00 for study snacks and a drink in a Basha High School drawstring backpack delivered to your student the week before finals. ORDER and PAYMENT DEADLINE: December 7th LIMITED AVAILABILITY, SO PLEASE ORDER SOON! To place an order, simply email gyearous@comcast.net with the following information: Once your order is placed, you will receive an email with a PayPal invoice (PayPal account is not required to order) • Purchaser’s first and last name • Students name • Students 4th and 6th period class • A short message to your student (25 words or less) Thank you for supporting Basha High School’s Kismet Dance Company’s fundraiser!   12. ATTENTION JUNIORS: It’ time to sign up for the ASVAB test. This test is a skills test along with an interest inventory. It will assist you in picking a career or college major. It is also used by our military to determine enlistment & careers. The ASVAB is also a great tool to help prepare you for the SAT and ACT tests. The test is completely free and is a wonderful way to learn about careers you never thought of. The test will take place on Wednesday, December 12th at 7:30 AM. If you are interested, please sign up with Mrs. Blancarte the counseling secretary in the office. Registration will be from November 1st through December 7th. There are a limited amount of spots so please sign up soon.

  13. FRESHMAN!!!! The IMPACT Chandler Scholars program has extended its deadline to “OPT IN” for Freshman until December 31, 2018. Please go to your student portal account in Infinite Campus to “OPT IN”. If you have more questions about the IMPACT Scholarship program, please stop by the counseling office to see Ms. Stidhum.

  16. Parking Passes Security will be checking all cars for current parking passes. See Mrs. Lindvig in the front office to purchase a parking pass.

  19. Maricopa Community College is recruiting high school sophomores for its ACE PROGRAM. The ACE program is a 2 year program that offers participants the opportunity to begin earning college credit. You must meet two or more of the following criteria: • Teen parent • First generation to attend college • Single parent home • Underrepresented group • Economic hardship • Foster care/temporary housing If you are interested or think you may qualify, please see Ms. Stidhum in the Counseling Office. Application deadline is Monday, December 17, 2018 DECEMBER 12
